The salt film arrives on the breeze and settles on the back sliders first, and because most of the lots are narrow the front windows along Capri Boulevard and Pelican Street get it too.
The older ranch homes under the sea grapes and gumbo limbos pick up pollen and leaf drip on top of the salt, and the newer elevated homes have tall picture windows that nobody can reach from a ladder on a windy day. The condos at Tarpon Village and along the marina have the usual building problem: the exterior gets washed now and then, but the tracks, screens and inside glass are yours.

How often should windows be cleaned in Isles of Capri?
